At Cay Galgon Life House, we walk alongside these vulnerable mothers, providing the comprehensive support they need to build stable, self-reliant lives for themselves and their babies. But we can’t do this work alone. The transformative care we provide depends on the generosity of supporters who believe every mother and child deserves safety, dignity, and hope.

Understanding Our Impact
Our guidebook begins by walking you through CGLH’s two core programs. Our Residential Program provides safe, transitional housing and intensive support for pregnant women experiencing homelessness, while our Community Program serves over 500 at-risk mothers each year through case management, essential supplies, education, and connections to vital community resources. You’ll discover how every form of support, whether financial, volunteer-based, or in-kind, directly translates into measurable outcomes: mothers securing stable housing, babies born healthy, families breaking cycles of poverty.
Financial Giving That Fits Your Goals
This guidebook details a variety of opportunities designed to meet supporters where they are. Our Annual Giving Levels recognize contributions at every stage, from First Step Friends to Legacy of Love members, affirming that every gift matters.
For those looking to create lasting impact, our Planned Giving and Legacy Gifts section explains options such as bequests, charitable trusts, and beneficiary designations, powerful tools that ensure CGLH’s mission continues for generations.
A beautiful example of this is the recently established Linda Lapos & Paul Wirth Family Endowment Fund through the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania. This couple chose to create a permanent legacy that will support CGLH annually in perpetuity. Paul Wirth shared, “We wanted to create something that would outlast us—a gift that keeps on giving to mothers and babies who need it most.” Their endowment ensures that even decades from now, vulnerable mothers will continue receiving the care that transforms lives. Truly a lasting and impactful legacy.
Beyond Financial Support
Not everyone can make a financial contribution, and that’s okay. There are numerous other ways to make a meaningful difference. Our Volunteer Opportunities section details how you can serve directly alongside mothers through childcare support, organizing donation drives, packing bags and supplies, supporting events, sharing your professional expertise, or providing bilingual support to our Spanish-speaking clients.
Supporters can also give through in-kind donations of diapers, formula, clothing, and household essentials that help meet the immediate, practical needs of mothers and babies.
The Holiday and Seasonal Needs section highlights specific times when community support is especially critical. Our Mother’s Day Moments of Motherhood campaign celebrates and honors mothers in our community, while our Holiday Meals program ensures families gather around tables filled with warmth and nourishment. The Holiday Toy Drive brings joy to children during the season of giving, and our Baby’s First Birthday initiative helps mothers celebrate this precious milestone with dignity and joy.
For businesses and organizations, our Corporate Sponsorship Levels and Workplace and Community Giving sections explain how companies can align their corporate social responsibility goals with meaningful community impact through employee matching programs, workplace giving campaigns, and corporate sponsorships of CGLH events and programs.
