As we continue to serve women and babies in need by offering them dignified care and a variety of services, our team is working behind the scenes to develop a more diversified and resilient funding model that supports both our current needs and long-term growth.
This year, we were awarded three significant public grants: one from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS), and one each from the cities of Bethlehem and Allentown. These new sources of funding reflect our commitment to explore a broader development strategy beyond traditional giving.
As part of our sustainability plan, we’ve also introduced new ways for individuals and businesses to support our mission:
- Named Funds allow donors to create a lasting legacy of impact in honor, or memory, of a loved one
- Annual Business Sponsorships offer year-round visibility and mission alignment for local companies
- Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) provide flexible, tax-efficient ways to give—now and into the future
Also in 2025, we launched our Community Engagement Initiative as a pilot program to broaden awareness of our services, particularly among women in neighboring counties who may benefit from our support. This initiative simultaneously creates new pathways for community members to volunteer, donate, and help share our mission with others. Together, these efforts are helping CGLH move toward a more sustainable and responsive future where more women and babies can find strength, support, and hope.
