When MaryAnn Becker walks through the doors of Cay Galgon Life House each week, she brings more than just helping hands—she brings a heart full of compassion, a generous spirit, and a deep belief in the power of community.

“The mission is very near and dear to my heart,” she reflects. “I love babies, and I love what Cay Galgon stands for. It’s so rewarding to be part of something that’s truly helping moms and babies build better lives.”

After retiring as a speech therapist, MaryAnn wanted to give back in a meaningful way. Her daughter, knowing she was searching for a volunteer opportunity, introduced her to Cay Galgon Life House, and from the moment she visited, MaryAnn felt at home. “The moms, the staff, everyone is so welcoming and appreciative,” she said. “And I really feel like I’m making a difference.”

Whether she’s sorting donations, packing tote bags for the Community Outreach Program, or babysitting little ones while their moms attend appointments or classes, MaryAnn is always ready to lend a hand. MaryAnn has also introduced two close friends to CGLH, turning her weekly volunteer shift into a shared act of service and a source of connection and lasting friendships.

We are deeply grateful to MaryAnn for the love and light she brings to Cay Galgon Life House—and for showing every mom and child that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by care.
