Lauren Rowan

Vice Chair/Vice President

Meet Lauren

Vice Chair, Lauren Rowan, joined the board after attending a CGLH gala and quickly discovered a deep connection to the mission. As a pediatric healthcare provider, she felt an immediate alignment with the same populations she supports in her professional life. Her path to leadership included serving on the fundraising committee, teaching parenting classes, and leading medical-based parenting sessions for new moms at CGLH, which she describes as “one of the most rewarding” moments of her adult life. Lauren believes that everyone needs a helping hand at some point, and through service, she is honored to offer hers to our new moms and their babies. Her leadership is grounded in empathy, experience, and a strong belief in the potential of every mother and child.

Ted Hozza

Treasurer

Meet Ted

Board member Ted Hozza was introduced to CGLH through his parents, who supported CGLH and Mary’s Shelter, and instilled in him the value of community service. When invited to consider board service, Ted understood the mission and felt it would be a meaningful way to give back. What inspires him is watching residents grow, as individuals and as parents, through the safety net CGLH provides. Ted is especially moved by the resilience of these mothers who want to rebuild their lives and create stable homes for their children. He hopes more people will support the Community Outreach Program, which serves hundreds of families outside the Life House’s sheltered walls.

Meet Laura

As Secretary of the Board, Laura Wetzel possesses a unique blend of clinical expertise and compassionate care. A labor and delivery nurse for over 14 years, she became involved when a colleague suggested that her background would benefit vulnerable women navigating pregnancy and early motherhood. Laura helps these women celebrate every small victory, from a first confident feeding to completing a parenting class. She is deeply moved by the courage and resilience of the CGLH mothers and committed to helping them feel informed, capable, and supported during one of life’s most vulnerable seasons. She meets our mothers where they are and is passionate about offering postpartum care that is realistic, supportive, and free from judgment or pressure.

Dr. Elizabeth Gibson

Director

Meet Dr. Gibson

Board member Elizabeth Gibson has been part of the CGLH family for nearly a decade, starting with caring for babies while their mothers worked or studied. As a pediatrician, she was invited to support a Life House baby with medical needs, and that sparked a lasting connection. Elizabeth and her family also volunteer with the Notre Dame Club of Lehigh Valley, helping with anything from landscaping and cleaning to organizing donations and celebrating holidays. Elizabeth brings a deep personal and professional insight into what children need to thrive and is deeply moved by the strength of these women and the lasting outcomes she sees in their lives. Her faith and her parents’ example of service continue to shape her outlook, and she credits her husband and children for joining her in the joy of giving back.

Debby Keba

Director

Meet Debby

Board member Debby Keba joined Cay Galgon Life House after touring the facility and recognizing the potential to make a meaningful impact. As a mother, she was drawn to the mission on a personal level; as a seasoned marketing professional, she saw an opportunity to help the organization grow. What motivates her is CGLH’s focus on long-term empowerment through education, life skills, and emotional support. She believes that the right support given to a mother during a vulnerable time can change the course of a family’s future. Her experience of having access to stability and resources fuels a desire to serve those who haven’t had the same opportunities. Watching women transform into confident, independent mothers is one of the most fulfilling parts of her service.

Theresa Kelly

Director

Meet Theresa

Board member Theresa Kelly has been connected to CGLH since its earliest days, first as a staff member and now as a deeply committed leader and advocate. Theresa is passionate about addressing the root causes of instability, and her background as a social worker in trauma, bonding, and adoption gives her a firsthand look at the complex barriers new mothers face. Theresa has fostered four children and helped care for more than 100 babies at CGLH, both experiences that shape her fierce belief in every woman’s potential. What inspires her most is the lifelong support network formed among the women who walk through the Life House doors. She often says, “You fall in love with these babies, and you love them all your life.”
