JoAnn Barbara Faitt-Jacobs
JoAnn “JoJo” Faitt-Jacobs had a gift for creativity, an infectious humor, a heart for generosity, a deep love for family and friends, and found great joy in being a mother. A true yarn master, skilled in knitting, crochet, and needlepoint, she basked in complicated sweater patterns, a good book, snuggling cats, and a quiet library.
Seventeen years older, my sister taught me to read under the covers with a flashlight and fall in love with yarn. As adults, we collaborated across the miles serving the community making sweaters, scarves, and hats for kids experiencing homelessness or in a shelter.
This fund is a way of honoring JoJo’s memory by carrying forward the things she loved. Supporting Cay Galgon Life House honors her creative spirit, her generosity, and her charity toward vulnerable children. I miss her every day, and I’m grateful to celebrate her life in a way that supports mothers and babies in our community.
